Yoga has been a major force in Dianne’s personal development and life journey. Through yoga, she has learned how to be grounded, present, and connected to a deeper sense of happiness and peace. Yoga helps her remember who she truly is—especially during life’s inevitable ups and downs, perceived failures and successes, challenges, and crises.
No matter the external circumstances, yoga offers Dianne a pathway back to stillness and inner calm. She teaches yoga because she wants to share this gift with others, whether they are brand new to the practice or more experienced yogis. Dianne believes that no matter where you are on your yoga journey, there is a welcoming place for you in her classes—and in her heart.
Officially retired from a long career in education, Dianne now enjoys a full and meaningful life rooted in family, yoga, and community. She has three adult children and three young granddaughters who live in Tuscaloosa, where she happily spends much of her time caring for them. She is married to Curt Carlson, who fully supports her yoga journey and all of life’s adventures. Together, they are avid gardeners. Dianne grew up in West Virginia and treasures her strong Italian heritage.
