Mindfulness-based meditation is consistently included and highly ranked as an evidence-based approach for relieving emotional and mental distress and increasing insight; reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression; working with physical pain; and improving relationships with ourselves and others. Each week, we will practice mindfulness-based meditation as a group, with a combination of instruction, silence, and time for structured reflections.
The weekly meditations are adaptations of those taught in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program, originally developed in the late 1970's by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, for patients struggling with pain and chronic stress.
Deanna, the facilitator, is a Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Teacher and has been teaching MBSR and its adaptations since 2010.
Deanna facilitates the group very similarly to how MBSR courses are offered, which reduces cross-talk within the group and prioritizes time for meditation practice and structured, "here and now" reflections.
This group is suitable for all experience levels and, more importantly, it is designed and offered in a way that is meant to be accessible to differing levels of personal comfort with entering a group setting, which can be a challenging setting for many of us to enter.
No one has to sit on the floor. Chairs are happily offered; meditation cushions are available, too. Feel free to reach out to Deanna with any questions, or arrive 15 minutes early, for the possibility of one-on-one time. All are welcome.

Many people experience deep calm, emotional release, or renewed vitality after a session.

Motherhood can be beautiful, and it can also feel overwhelming, lonely, or “too much.” Gather is a monthly support circle created to give mothers a safe place to exhale, be heard, and remember they’re not alone. In this one-hour gathering, you’ll find:
Whether you come with words to share or simply to listen, you’ll be welcomed exactly as you are. This circle isn’t about advice or perfection. It’s about belonging, presence, and the reminder that your well-being matters, too. Come gather with us once a month to rest in the company of other mothers and leave feeling a little lighter, steadier, and more supported.

Join us for a deeply relaxing and immersive experience where you're bathed in soothing sounds. It's like a massage for your ears, mind, body, heart, and soul.
During a sound bath, you'll typically lie down comfortably while the instructor plays crystal singing bowls. These crystal bowls create a symphony of sounds that wash over you, promoting deep relaxation and a sense of calm.

This mini retreat combines three powerful practices to help you reconnect with your body, release what’s built up, and access deeper rest.
We'll begin with a trauma-informed drumming session designed to support emotional expression and nervous system healing. You'll be guided through simple rhythms using hand drums and other percussion instruments as a way to process stored tension, feel more connected to yourself and others, and experience the regulating power of rhythm in a safe, supportive space. No musical experience required.
Next, we’ll move into a deeply calming restorative yoga and sound bath experience. You’ll settle into fully supported postures while being immersed in the soothing tones of crystal singing bowls. This second half of the retreat offers space to slow down, rest, and integrate—nourishing your nervous system and inviting a sense of calm.

When stress shows up—whether it’s constant in the background or suddenly overwhelming—it helps to have something you can turn to in the moment. This circle introduces a simple, practical way to support your nervous system using your own hands.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), also known as “tapping,” is an evidence-based practice that uses acupressure points to help the nervous system settle. It’s gentle, adaptable, and easy to learn.
What to Expect
- A short, beginner-friendly intro to tapping
Learn the basic points, how to use them, and why they work.
- Optional reflection and sharing
Each person will have the opportunity to share what's coming up for them and what issue or theme they would like to tap on. Sharing is always optional.
- A short break
Time to reset, stretch, connect, or just be. During this pause, personalized tapping scripts will be created based on the group’s reflections.
- A guided group tapping session
We’ll go through each script together, offering support for your own experience and space to connect with others through shared emotion and story.
- A few minutes to check in before closing
You’ll be invited to notice how you feel—what’s shifted, softened, or come into focus.

Meet Dr. Jessica Hoggle
Dr. Jessica Hoggle, DSW, LICSW, is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in trauma therapy. With a strong background in psychology and social work, she has extensive experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Dr. Hoggle integrates innovative body-based practices, such as therapeutic drumming, into her therapy to support holistic healing and help her clients thrive.
Why Drumming?
Dr. Jessica Hoggle discovered the healing power of drumming after a colleague introduced her to an African drumming circle. This experience opened her eyes to new possibilities beyond traditional talk therapy, which often falls short of addressing the physical manifestation of trauma. Convinced that healing requires engaging both the mind and body, Dr. Hoggle began integrating drumming into her therapy sessions. The results were remarkable, leading her to delve deeper into the science behind drumming’s benefits. Her research, conducted as part of her Doctorate in Social Work, revealed significant mental health improvements and increased immune responses in participants, laying the groundwork for drumming as a valuable tool in trauma recovery.

Human Design is a practical system for understanding how your energy is wired to move through the world. It combines modern science (like quantum physics and genetics) with ancient wisdom traditions (including astrology, the I Ching, the Chakra system, and the Kabbalah) to give you a personal blueprint—like a user’s manual for your life.
Your Human Design chart reveals how you best make decisions, relate to others, use your energy, process emotions, access intuition, and more. It shows what’s consistent in you, where you’re most open to others, and what themes you’re here to embody.
Instead of pushing you toward who you "should" be, Human Design helps you get clear on how you're naturally designed to live, connect, and thrive.

The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year—a turning point in the natural cycle where the light begins to slowly return. Across cultures, it’s been honored as a sacred time for reflection, renewal, and setting intentions for the season ahead.
This peaceful, heart-centered gathering is designed to help you ground your energy, release what you're ready to let go of, and gently reconnect with your inner light. Through a blend of simple movement, meditation, and ritual, we’ll create space to pause, reset, and align with the rhythm of the season.
You can expect a welcoming atmosphere, supportive community, and accessible practices that meet you exactly where you are.
